Assortment of Thread
Extra Bobbins-Make sure you check your sewing machine manual to get the right kind of bobbin.
Hand Sewing Needles -Be sure to get an assortment
Iron
Ironing Table
Machine Needles-Check your manual for suggested needles. I would get an assortment of sizes. The smaller the number the thinner material will be and the eye of the needle will also be smaller. A package with size 10, 12 and 14 would be your best option.
Marking Tools-Pens, pencils, chalk, etc., they are used to transfer markings from patterns
Measuring Tape
Pincushion or Magnetic Pin Bowl
Scissors
Seam Ripper- there are a few different kinds to choose from it's all a matter of your preference.
Sewing Basket or plastic container to keep your tools together
Sewing Gauge Ruler
Sewing Machine- I would recommend one with a speed control especially for children.
Straight Pins
Thimble for hand sewing, I would also suggest some thread conditioner or wax.
Thread Snips
Tracing Paper and the tracing wheel go hand in hand. They are used to mark darts and other items from your patterns,
