Kids Sewing Class

Kids sewing classes are for children under 13 years old. In this small class each child will learn at his/her own level to use a sewing machine and a pattern. I will provide the supplies for the first class, your child will decide what he/she wants to make and get the appropriate supplies for the remainder of the session. Classes are two hours per week and run for three weeks.

Teen Sewing Class
Four weeks 2 hours
If you are interested in fashion or want to learn how to make something else and don't know how to use a sewing machine this class is for you. You can bring your sewing machine or use mine. Supplies for first class will be provided and I will help you figure out what you need to bring for the last three classes. If there is something you already have that you want to work on bring it to the first class.

Here is a basic sewing list of supplies needed for sewing class.


Pins

 

Shears (scissors) and Thread snips

 

Pin cushion or magnetic pin bowl

 

Hand sewing needles and Beeswax or Thread Heaven

 

Tape measure - 60 inches

 

Thimble

 

6 inch measuring gauge

 

Sewing machine needles

 

Marking pencil

 

Thread

 

Tracing wheel

 

Seam ripper

 

Wax or marking paper

 

Box or basket for notions

 

 

·         Students are to be on time. If you can't make a class or you are going to be late or absent please call the studio.

·         Students are responsible for cleaning his/ her own  work area before leaving class.

·         All sewing notions, materials and equipment should be labeled by student to avoid confusion.

·         If you have a sewing machine I recommend you bring it, that way you are comfortable using it once you get home.

·         I provide the supplies for the first class. Student will provide the supplies for the remainder of the classes.

·         In addition to the above items a suitable pattern, fabric and notions will be approved during the first class.

·         You have 60 days from end of the session to make up any missed classes. It is your responsibility to check availability for class makeup.

*Important - We must have 3 signed up by 5:00pm the day before a class starts or the class will be canceled. If you are paying on-line after the cut off time, please call to make sure the class is still a go.

Did you just get a sewing machine or do you have one in your closet?  This class is for you! I will teach you how to thread your machine, how to use it and what all those little feet for.  You will leave here so excited at all that you have learned and be surprised at how comfortable you'll feel. Private Sewing Class

Already know how to sew or just want  a one on one lesson to learn the basics then this is the class for you. If you are trying to develop your own project and need a little help or inspiration, then call or email to schedule your class today. You will be surprised at the how much you will learn in an hour.
